Holy Week with Churches Together in Headingley

Tuesday 31 March at 7.00pm
United Service at St Luke’s Lutheran Church, Alma Road

Maundy Thursday at 9.00pm
Tenebrae Service at Headingley St Columba United Reformed Church
The purpose of the service is to recreate the emotional aspects of the Passion story - the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events. It starts with some light and finishes in the ‘shadows’ – a very moving service.

Good Friday Act of Witness- ‘What has he ever done for you ?’
You are invited to meet with others at the traffic lights at the top end of the Arndale Centre (near KFC) at 10.15am where there will be music and a short drama. We will then walk down the Arndale, across the pedestrian crossing to the main bus stop. After pausing there for prayer we will walk back to Headingley Methodist Church garden. There will be another brief act of witness before continuing to the Rose Garden outside the ARC on North Lane. The main event will begin about 10.50am and will last 25 to 30 minutes.

Refreshments will follow in the church hall at Headingley Methodist Church (Chapel Street entrance).
