Home Group Autumn 2012 During the autumn, Home Group will be looking at the ‘Lord's Prayer' – or rather what might be called the Disciples' Prayer as it was given in response to the disciples' request, ‘Lord, teach us to pray!' We use it a great deal in worship. It is familiar to young and old. But, have you ever really stopped to consider just what you are praying when you say: ‘Our Father...'? So on Wednesday mornings over the next few weeks we will take the Lord's Prayer, phrase by phrase, and see how it can act as a template for our praying, and help us to draw closer to the Creator of the Universe who asks us to call Him ‘Father'. We will be following a book by Richard Coekin, ‘Our Father – Enjoying God in prayer' : Claire has copies of this at Acorn Books on Monkbridge Road, if you want to get one in advance. Meetings are usually at 12a Moor Park Avenue, and we will be starting there on 3 rd October, though check the pew sheet, or with one of us for confirmation just where we'll be: we meet at 10.00 and finish by 12.00 or just before.
